Dealer is Dead – Privacy

What we store
When you sign in, we store:
- the name of the service you used (for example Google) and the ID that service gives us for you;
- a random player ID (like did482915736);
- the player name you choose;
- the names you give your devices;
- your game saves;
- sign-in session records.
We don't receive or store your email address, real name, photo, contacts or friends list. We never get your password.
Server logs and IP addresses
Like any website, when your device talks to our server, our server and our hosting provider (Microsoft Azure) process your IP address, your browser's user agent (browser and device type) and the time of each request. We use this only for security and to prevent abuse (for example, limiting repeated sign-in attempts) and to fix problems.
These logs are kept for up to 30 days and then deleted. They are never used for ads, tracking or building a profile of you, and we don't sell or share them.
Why
Only to link your game saves to you, so you can play on more than one device.
Where
In Microsoft Azure in the United States. Your browser also keeps a copy of your game on your device.
Cookies
We use one sign-in cookie, plus a short-lived one while you sign in. Both are essential, and neither is used for tracking or ads.
Sharing
We don't sell or share your data. The sign-in services (Google, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook, Discord) see that you signed in to Dealer is Dead, under their own privacy policies.
How long
Until you delete your account. Sign-in sessions expire after 30 days without use. Server logs are deleted after 30 days.
Your choices
In the game, open your account and tap Delete my data to erase everything we hold, right away. See Data deletion.
Changes
Dealer is Dead is for players 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; the app asks for your date of birth before an account is created, works out your age on your device, and sends the date once with your privacy and terms acceptance so our server can check it too. We keep only that you are 18 or older, never your date of birth or age; the date is not saved on our server and is cleared from your device as soon as it has been checked.
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
